Marshall County Arts Cooperative
Working together for a powerful arts network in Marshall County, KS

Marshall County is our “ Home on the range.” The people of Marshall County are proud of their heritage and tradition. These homegrown traditions, based on hard work and integrity, are what inspires pride in our young people and communities. These rural traditions help to promote high standards of excellence for schools and community development. The Marshall County Arts Cooperative trusts in this foundation of tradition for the continued development of a diverse arts culture in Marshall County. We believe in our mission of planting artistic seeds that will truly inspire individuals and communities to experience the arts in new and exciting ways.

Marshall County Arts programs have been inspiring students, teachers and communities for many years. Our programs are designed to specifically reach students, teachers and communities throughout Marshall County. Our organizations look closely at the needs of the individuals and communities, to help generate public interest in the arts.

From our own experience of growing up in rural areas, we understand the need for students, teachers and communities to experience expert role models. We have seen students and communities grow when they are inspired from first-hand knowledge of expert artistic skill! Following one of our recent performances, a teacher commented, “When the kids can experience it themselves, that just brings it to life.”

As a public arts advocate, let us not give up our hopes and dreams of "seventy-six trombones in the big parade," and get those young people and communities on the bandwagon.
